Two second half goals helped Asante Kotoko defeat Berekum Arsenals and maintain some hope of winning the Top 4 title for the second consecutive time.

The Porcupine Warriors handed the Gunners a 2-0 defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday to stay at second on the four-team table as they trail leaders, Liberty Professionals by a point.

Francis Akwaffo scored his fourth goal of the competition when he opened the scoring for the Porcupine Warriors in the second half before Jordan Opoku sealed the day with the second strike on match-day-four of the off-season competition.

Liberty Professionals maintained their strong form in the competition when a Seidu Yahaya goal helped them to overcome Heart of Lions 1-0 at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

The defeat was the third loss for the Lions, who finished second in the premier league. Lions have managed to only glean a point in the competition after pulling a draw against Arsenals.

Each side has two games to go as Liberty and Asante Kotoko battle to title while Arsenals and Lions, both ruled out of contention for the ultimate prize go in search for their first win in the competition.
