Accra Hearts of Oak recovered from their 2-2 draw against Dreams FC on Saturday as they edged passed Berekum Chelsea 2-0 in their outstanding Ghana Premier League Match Day 5 encounter at the Cape Coast stadium.

The game against Chelsea is one of the three matches which were rescheduled because of their engagement in the CAF Confederation Cup competition. But with that Africa campaign over, Hearts of Oak took on the Blues on Wednesday.

Kofi Kordzi scored in either half as the Phobians cruised to a comfortable win over Berekum Chelsea.

The bulky attacker connected from close range after getting on the end of William Dankyi’s cross in the 19th minute – finishing off an impressive team move.

He netted his second eight minutes into the second half with a header from close range – with Dankyi being the provider in the 53rd minute.

Samuel Boadu's side are rising steadily in the table after their unimpressive start to the season which saw them claim two points from their first three matches.

Accra Hearts of Oak have yet to lose a game since they were eliminated from the Confederation Cup having picked three wins and a draw in their last four outings.

The champions have now climbed to 9th place with 13 points. They still have two outstanding games against Medeama SC and Asante Kotoko to clear.
