Black Stars winger, Laryea Kingston is hopeful of a good season for the Ghanaian duo in the Scottish Premier League – SPL, which gets underway this weekend.

Kingston, a regular for Hearts in the SPL is tipping his international teammate, Prince Buaben of Dundee United to secure more regular starts this season.

The two were on national team duty during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers and Kingston hopes together they can make the headlines.

“I hope Prince gets a regular place because ultimately it will be a boost for the national team. He has progressed a lot in Scotland because he is a good player,” the Hearts player told KickOffGhana.com.

Meanwhile, Laryea Kingston has set his sights on helping Hearts seal at least a Uefa Cup place at the end of Scottish season.

The Black Stars midfielder will be a key man for the Tynecastle side and is determined to turn on the style after what was a disappointing season for him last term.

Kingston battled with injury throughout but now hopes he can stay fit and play a starring role beginning this Saturday against Motherwell at home.

“I have had a good pre-season and really looking forward to the new season,” he said.

“My target is to stay away from injuries, play as many games as I can and help the club to qualify for Europe.”

And Kingston hopes that new boss Csaba Laszlo will settle in well and bring success to the club which has suffered from instability in the managerial department.

“We have a new manager who has won over many of the players,” he said of the former Uganda boss. He has confidence in me because he knows he can deploy me on the right of attack, in central midfield of behind the strikers and I will give my best every time.

“He has not brought in many new players but he has changed a lot of things and the players are happy with that.”
