Black Stars midfielder, Laryea Kingston has moved to quash concerns over his fitness level as he declares himself ready for the African Cup of Nations.
In an exclusive interview with www.ghanafa.org at the team’s camping base on Thursday, Laryea allayed the fears of Ghanaians and assured that he is ‘very fit’ and ready for the opening match.
“The injury was not as serious as was exaggerated by the local press and I can assure Ghanaians that I am very fit and ready for the tournament including the opening match.
“The Cup of Nations means a lot to me and I have taken steps to reach where I have gotten to.
“I want to play a part in helping my country win the cup and I want to use this opportunity to reassure everybody that Laryea is well.”
“I am fit but I am committed to helping my country so I want to be over 100 percent fit for the tournament. I hope to achieve that in the next few days.”
