Ghana international Richard Kingson says his "dream has come true" following his move to Birmingham City.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper joins the Premier League club from Hammarby and cut short his stay in Sweden after just three months as he could not refuse the opportunity to move to England.

"Everyone loved me and I was happy here, but my dream has now come true," Kingson told Hammarby's website.

"I have snubbed two offers, one from Denmark and one from Israel as I wanted to stay but England has always been my dream."

Kingson impressed during last year's World Cup in Germany for his country and has previously played for Turkish side Galatasaray.

There will be no work permit problems for the Blues as Kingson holds dual Turkish nationality.
