Kessben FC made a fine start to the season last term and have followed suit with another perfect run after three games in the Glo Premier League.

The club which has evolved following their off-season take-over by businessman, Moses Armah from the previous regime sits at the summit of the table.

But coach of the club Bashir Hayford who has guided the team to two big wins over Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak in their opening two games of the competition has been quick to play down talk that the new investment is the motivator behind their success so far.

The former Kotoko coach says they are sticking to their work ethic which has produced them the results in the league.

“I am tired of this baseless talk,” a fuming Hayford said when asked whether the takeover was the catalyst behind his side’s 100 percent start to the season.

Rather he says the results so far is gratifying.

“Definitely, I am happy. We are training so that we maintain the performance we have got, train our condition and maintain everything. We hope to continue with the winning spree.”

Having collected the maximum three points from both Kotoko and Hearts, the Kessben FC coach insists it’s too early to talk about the title as they aim to keep their place in the elite competition.

“We want to maintain our status in the premiership. We have to maintain our premiership place, that’s all.”
