Olympic team coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio is keen to deliver Ghana qualification for the 2008 All-African Games in Algeria.

And that task would certainly have to come at the expense of Ghana’s West African rivals, Nigeria.

Ghana’s Olympic team on Sunday drew goalless with their Nigerian counterparts at the Coronation park in Sunyani in the first leg tie of the final qualifier for the single slot available from Zone III.

With the first leg tie over, the winner of the second leg clash in Abuja in two weeks time picks the single qualification slot for next year’s All-African Games football competition.

Ghana failed to plant the ball at the back of the net after creating lots of goalscoring chances.

However, Ghana coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio though ruing his team's lack of goals is targeting a response from his team ahead of the return clash.

"It's still even. We created lots of chances by unfortunately, we couldn't score.

"We would have to keep on fighting and in Abuja, the game would be decided. We controlled the game and somehow I am happy with that but we failed to score.

"It's not over yet," Jones said in a post match interview.

Ghana would be seeking to secure a second successive appearance at the All-African Games after winning bronze in the last competition.

Both countries would rekindle their rivalry on March 11 when the Nigeria's host the return encounter.
