Samuel Inkoom says he would be keen on a career in the English Premier League if the chance presents himself.

The Ghanaian right-back has been linked to the premiership lately following impressive performances for Basel in both the Swiss league and Europe.

Inkoom admits that the lure of Premier League football is great.

“There are hints of interest from one or two clubs but I don’t want at this stage to be speaking about clubs and all that,” he told Peace FM.

“But every player wants to play in the Premiership and I would love to play there too.”

Despite his hopes of a move to England in the future, Inkoom insist his first priority is to continue to do well at Basel.

Basel's hopes of reaching the knockout stage in the European Champions League depends on the result of their final group game against Bayern Munich. They must beat the Germans in Munich to stand any chance of progressing but Inkoom says no matter what happens, it has been a great campaign already.

“We are in a good position to make the Europa League again and I think the club’s fans understand even if we don’t reach the Champions League knockout stage we have done them proud so far.”
