Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom scored his first goal for Swiss champions FC Basel in their 1-4 win over FC Zurich on Saturday.

The Ghanaian opened the scoring for the visitors on ten minutes after making an intelligent run into the Zurich box before letting go a shot that goalkeeper Guatelli for the opener.

Inkoom who was yellow-carded, apart from scoring capped his wonderful performance by helping to set up another goal to seal the emphatic victory as Basel finished the game with nine men after two dismissals.

The win by Basel kept their hopes of a successful title defence on course as the game recorded six yellow cards and two sending offs.
