Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom is still basking in his delight of a first season's success with Swiss side Basel.

A debut season for the Black Stars right-back ended with a League and Cup double.

A regular who made 26 league appearances, the former Asante Kotoko player on Sunday finished off a long season with a 2-0 win over Young Boys 2-0 to wrap up the title by two points.

"It has been a good first season for me," said Inkoom.

"As a player you play to win and to get two in my first year is special."

The player will now be concentrating his efforts at securing a place in Ghana's final World Cup team after being named in the provisional 30-man squad.
