Deputy captain Thomas Partey says he follows instructions to the latter and tries to help as possible as he can when playing for Ghana.
Partey started the 2022/23 season in an explosive manner for Arsenal but has yet to stamp his authority on the team in the ongoing FIFA World Cup drawing criticisms from certain quarters as fans continue to question his commitment to the national team.
But speaking at the pre-match press conference on Thursday, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder says it’s about team work and not an individual affair.
‘’Most people will surely expect more from you but we are playing as a team and I listen to the Coach, what the coach asks me to do I have to do it correctly for him to be happy’’ Partey said.
‘’And at the end, when you know you can do something better you just have to stick to what the team really wants and not be individual so I guess I am doing my best, trying to help the team as possible as I can’’ he added.
