The Football Association has announced that Accra Hearts of Oak will play the remainder of their home fixtures in the 2025–26 Premier League season at the Accra Sports Stadium, following the closure of the University of Ghana Sports Stadium for renovation works.
The Phobians, who began the campaign with a brief spell at the Accra Sports Stadium, later shifted base to the University of Ghana venue, where they played seven matches after hosting five earlier fixtures at their original home.
However, ongoing redevelopment efforts at the university facility have necessitated a return to the capital’s iconic stadium.
This comes at a crucial stage of the season, with Hearts of Oak firmly in contention for the league title. Currently sitting fourth on the table, they trail league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars by six points, with just eight matches left to play.
Under the guidance of head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, the team will play five of their remaining fixtures at the Accra Sports Stadium, while traveling for three away matches to wrap up the campaign.
