C.K. Akunnor's debut game in charge of Hearts of Oak did not produce the expected results as the Phobians crashed to defeat in the Accra derby.

Hearts of Oak were beaten 1-0 by Liberty Professionals at the Accra Sports Stadium with the result leaving the Phobians 12 points off the summit as they slip to fourth on the standings.

A second half goal from substitute Kwame Boahene in the 76th minute handed Liberty back-to-back wins over their bigger city rivals in this season's league.
