Hearts of Oak moved three places above the relegation zone as coach Nebojsa Vucicevic made a winning start to his league campaign, guiding the Phobians to a 2-1 win against ten-man Mighty Jets.

Following their FA Cup exit, the Phobians had to salvage their premiership status with a home game against the newcomers who won the reverse clash at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Uriah Asante scored the winner on the stroke of halftime after Jets’ Winfred Dormon had equalised Abraham Annan's opener on 23 minutes. Jets finished with ten men following a red card shown to Sabato Yahya.

The Phobians are now 11th on the league table.

Berekum Chelsea preserved their 10-point lead at the top after managing a 1-0 win against Ebusua Dwarfs at the Golden City Park.

Substitute Emmanuel Banahene scored the winner for Chelsea in the second half.

Medeama marked their league debut at the Tarkwa T&A Park with a 2-1 victory over Berekum Arsenals.

Kabiru Imoro and Joseph Akpo got the goals for the home side as Nana Poku pulled one back for Arsenals.

The frustrations of coach Herbert Addo continued into the league as Aduana Stars could only earn a point in a goalless draw game with Liberty Professionals at the Dormaa Park.

Asante Kotoko also managed a point off New Edubiase United as both side finished 1-1 apiece at the Gyemfis Park in Bekwai.

Striker Alex Asamoah put Kotoko ahead but Ibrahim Moro equalised for Edubiase five minutes later.

Strikes by Hassan Mohammed and Benjamin Boateng and an own goal helped Real Tamale United finish 3-0 winners at home against Heart of Lions at the Tamale Sports Stadium.

Bottom side, B.A. Stars managed a 1-0 win over Wa All Stars at the Coronation Park while King Faisal and AshantuGold played out a goalless draw game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
