Hearts, Kotoko drop points

Hearts of Oak saw their seven point lead cut to four after falling to defeat at the Tema Park to Tema Youth as C.K Akunnor masterminds a Wise win over Asante Kotoko in the Glo Premier League.

The Phobians were beaten 2-1 at the Tema Park after an 89th minute winner by Nana Eshun handed the Tema side all the three points.

Theophilus Appoh put Tema Youth ahead in the first half before Charles Taylor equalized for the leaders in the second half.

Asante Kotoko could not take advantage of the result in Tema as C.K Akonnor began his career as coach of Sekondi Eleven Wise with an important 2-1 win over the champions at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The away side drew first blood through Jeff Aryee but Daniel Nii Adjei cancelled it out before Winfred Dormon in the final ten minutes of the game produced the winner.

Kotoko still trail the leaders by seven points.

Heart of Lions showed good form to leave the Tamale Sports Stadium 3-1 winners over home side, Real Tamale United.

Hans Coffie put Lions in the lead after 35 minutes but the host drew level six minutes later through Alhassan Weah.

Lions got back in the lead on the 80th minute mark through striker Kofi Nti Boakye before adding the third goal to complete the job in regulation time.

The win sees Lions cut the gap at the top to four points as they move second on the standings.

At the Ohene Djan Stadium, King Faisal needed an Abedi Sarfo goal from a spot kick in the second half to defeat Liberty Professionals.

Berekum Arsenals fell to a 1-0 away defeat at the Wa Park to All Stars while Hasaacas ensured that AshantiGold remained bottom of the table with a 1-0 victory at the Sekondi Sports Stadium.

Nana Egyir scored the winner in the first half from a spot kick.

Chelsea's game against Kessben FC will be replayed Thursday at the Coronation Park after it was rained-off.

Kessben were up by a goal through Jordan Owusu Mintah in the 9th minute.

Sporting Mirren will also play their scheduled match-day-11 game today at the Ohene Djan Stadium against Gamba All Blacks.
