Record winners Hasaacas Ladies have opened a five-point gap in the Southern Zone of the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League.

The four-time champions sit at the top of the table with 19 points - five points clear of second placed Berry Ladies and seven ahead of Army Ladies who are in third place.

Hasaacas Ladies have won six and drawn one in seven round of games with their draw coming against Soccer Intellectuals on the road.

Fatoumata Tamboura scored on Saturday to give them a 1-0 win over new entrants Jonina Ladies at the Gyandu Park. While, second placed Berry Ladies recorded an impressive 3-1 win against Soccer Intellectuals to keep the pressure on the leaders.
