Asamoah Gyan is expecting a thrilling encounter as Ghana meets Nigeria at the Vicarage Road Stadium tonight.

Both sides will head into the game with contrasting fortunes after the final day of 2012 Nations Cup qualifying saw Ghana earn their spot while Nigeria failed to qualify.

But Gyan says the Super Eagles would rise up to the occasion for the 19:00 GMT (7:00PM) kick off friendly despite the qualification setback.

"Ghana against Nigeria is something else," Gyan said.

"Nigeria would always be ready for Ghana even if they lose to other countries. It [game] would be very important. We are ready. We are representing our nation and it's a derby. Let's see at the end of 90 minutes who would win."

Tonight's game, which wraps up a busy international break for both sides is expected to receive good patronage and Gyan is hoping to enjoy himself.

"It's something interesting for all of us. Playing in England is like playing at home because we've got a lot of Ghanaians here. Looking back, playing in England, we saw how the fans cheered us up. I think this game would be same."
