Ghana handed their Africa Cup of Nations campaign a big boost with an important 1-0 win over Algeria in Mongomo on Friday.
Captain Asamoah Gyan, restored to the starting line-up scored the match-winner in the 92nd minute after running onto a long ball lumped forward from the back by Wakaso Mubarak to shoot past Rais M'Bohli.
The win is the first for Ghana and coach Avram Grant in the competition after they were undone by a late goal in their last match.
Victory keeps alive the Black Stars' hopes of qualifying from Group C with the group now wide open.
Ghana will play South Africa on Tuesday in the final group clash in Mongomo.
