Asamoah Gyan is delighted with Ghana's progress at their World Cup training camp in Accra.

The Black Stars will play a friendly game with a local select side Friday evening ending their first phase of preparations whilst heralding the start of intensive preparations over the next few weeks.

The team have enjoyed three positive days of training at the Accra Stadium but they will be swapping the sunny conditions as they depart for Amsterdam on Saturday.

"It's been good. Everybody is ready. The weather condition has been hard for us but we are getting used to the weather but it is rather unfortunate we are leaving. We just have to go to Holland and adjust to the weather there," Gyan said about their preparations so far.

Gyan, together with 23 other players will be available for selection in the farewell match and he says the game will afford them the opportunity to try out new tactics.

"It's a warm up game, we don't need to put in hundred percent. We have to just exhibit our skills and the tactic the coach wants to put out. That is why we play friendlies before tournaments.

"So far, everything has been good," the Black Stars captain said.

After Friday night's game, the Black Stars will leave for the Netherlands where they will train until the end of the month and then move to Florida from June 1 to 9.
