Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan is expected to complete a move from Udinese to French side, Rennes within the next 24 hours.

The Black Stars player arrived in the French capital, Paris, on Wednesday to undergo the mandatory medical before completing his switch from his Italian club.

Udinese are reported to have agreed terms with Rennes while it's left with the French club to finalise the personal terms of the deal with player.

“There are some small details still to be ironed out over the transfer of the Ghana striker,” Rennes coach Pierre Dreossi said.

“It is not a major hurdle that can prevent the transfer from happening.”

The Black Stars’ striker is expected to immediately sign the deal if he is successful in the medical.

Gyan has recovered from injury which has kept him out of action since February while playing for the Ghana national team at the 2008 African Nations Cup.

He signed for Udinese in 2003 and spent two-years on loan at Serie B Club Modena FC, primarily to gain experience.

Gyan returned to Udinese after impressing at the 2006 World Cup.
