Asamoah Gyan’s participation in Wednesday’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Togo received a boost after he was handed the all-clear to train with the Ghana team.

Ghana need only a draw in the final Group E match to secure their place at next year's tournament in Equatorial Guinea amid the closeness of the group with all sides standing an equal chance of qualifying.

The Black Stars captain who missed last Saturday's defeat to Uganda in Kampala due to injury had remained a doubt for the last round qualifier.

However, Gyan, who is Ghana's leading scorer on three goals in the qualifying campaign will join in Maxwell Konadu's pre-match training on Tuesday at 17:00GMT in Tamale.

The striker will still be observed by the medical team.
