The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (RFA) has successfully concluded the second batch of the Free License D Coaching Course in Accra, further advancing the nationwide agenda to equip grassroots coaches with the foundational tools of modern football coaching.

The training, which brought together over 30 coaches from various juvenile and grassroots teams within the region, was held over a seven-day period and focused on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.

Participants were also taken through modules on ethics, player welfare, injury prevention, and the use of modern technology in coaching.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Greater Accra RFA Chairman, Samuel Aboabire, commended the leadership of the association for continuing to invest in grassroots football development. “This initiative is not just about coaching—it’s about building a strong base for Ghana’s football future,” he said. “By equipping our coaches with knowledge, we’re ultimately improving the quality of players coming through the ranks.”

This initiative falls under the Association’s broader vision to strengthen the capacity of colts and grassroots football nationwide, ensuring every young footballer receives quality technical guidance from trained coaches.
