Aduana Stars and AshantiGold played to a goalless draw game in their 2019/20 Ghana Premier League match-day 13 fixture at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park.

Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin made one change to the team that beat Dreams FC last weekend as former Bechem United winger John Nyamekye was handed his first league start for Aduana Stars.

Frank Akoto and Eric Esso were also handed starting roles for AshantiGold as Appiah Maccarthy captained the Miners at Dormaa.

The first half saw AshantiGold enjoy lots of possession with Benedict Wobenu, Appiah McCarthy and Amos Nkrumah all coming close to getting the opener.

Midfielder Elvis Opoku nearly scored for Aduana Stars at the end of the first half when he was put through on goal by Yahaya Mohammed but his soft shot was saved by goalkeeper Frank Boateng.

It was a game of tactics in the second half as both coaches were very cautious of giving chances away to the opponents.

AshantiGold began to take total control as midfielder James Akaminko and Latif Anabila were introduced into the game by assistant coach Thomas Duah.

Aduana Stars, on the other hand, seeking all three points had Coach Fabin throwing in young attackers Richard Nathan and Pius Asante. But the tactical changes also did not yield any game winning moments as the games ended in a goalless draw.

Flavien Jean Kongoza was adjourned NASCO Man of the Match for his blissful performance in the heart midfield for Aduana Stars.

Aduana Stars travel to Sogakope to play WAFA while AshantiGold play host to Bechem United when the league continues with match-day 14 in midweek.
