Headline sponsor of the senior team, Gold Fields Ghana are confident of partnering the Black Stars to ‘Live the Dream’ of reaching the 2010 World Cup finals.

Ghana maintained their solid start to the qualifying campaign after producing a 2-0 win over Mali in Bamako last Sunday.

A result which ensured that the Black Stars kept their 100% win record in the ongoing World Cup Qualifying series.

The team tops the group D standings three points clear ahead of the second-placed side having claimed all six points from the two matches played so far.

The wins put Ghana in good stead of securing a second successive appearance at the World Cup which would be staged on African soil by South Africa.

"Having achieved such a remarkable result away from home, it is the firm belief of most Ghanaians and indeed of Gold Fields that Ghana is now firmly on course to achieving a second successive World Cup appearance. As sponsors, we pledge our continued support in this quest to relive the experiences of playing on the grandest stage of world football," Peter Turner, Vice President of Gold Fields West Africa said in a congratulatory message contained in a statement issued by the Corporate Affairs Director of Gold Fields Ghana, Dr Toni Aubynn.
