The hunt for the highly-coveted goalscorers crown would be decided on the final day of the OneTouch Premier League as the race appears to have narrowed down to three contenders.

Asante Kotoko’s Eric Bekoe still remains in the lead with 15 goals to his credit after hitting a brace over the weekend to help the new champions beat Zaytuna FC 2-1.

Bekoe, who has led the race from day one and still leads despite missing eight games while on national team duty with the Black Stars, is the frontrunner to grab the award and add it to Kotoko’s 21st league title.

And Bekoe has on his heels Heart of Lions’ Dominic Adiyah who also found the back of the net once in his team’s 4-0 win over Great Olympics to register his 13th goal of the season.

Liberty Professionals’ Sam Ayew Yeboah remains on third position with 12 goals and still appears to be in contention for the top scorer’s award.

The goal king crown is one of the most respected individual honours in Ghana football and the winner would be decided on the last day of the competition as the race goes to the wire.

Emmanuel Clottey won last season’s award after scoring 13 goals for Great Olympics, who have this year rather found themselves relegated.
