Ghana's CAN opponents revealed

African Cup of Nations hosts, Ghana have been drawn with Namibia, Guinea and Morocco for next year's finals following today's draw in Accra.

The four-times champions were drawn in Group A, while holders Egypt have been placed in Group C along with Sudan, Zambia and Cameroon.

Nigeria head Group B in Sekondi which includes Benin, Mali and Ivory Coast.

In Tamale, Group D has Tunisia as top seeds with Angola, South Africa and Senegal.

The draw was conducted in front of over 1,000 invited guests at the Accra International Conference Centre, the venue for the draw.

Friday’s draw saw the four top seeds each allocated into position one in their respective groups.

The remaining 12 sides, divided up in tiers based on past African Cup of Nations performances, were then allocated to the groups to determine their position within the section.

With the draw over, coaches Claude Le Roy, Berti Vogts and Henri Kasperzach and Henri Michel together with their colleagues vying for the coveted trophy know their opponents.

The tournament, which is being hosted by Ghana, is to be staged between January 20 and February 10 in four major cities across the country.
