Ghana train in Brazil ahead of opener

Ghana trained for the first time in Brazil on Thursday afternoon as the Black Stars gathered at their base in Maceio for their first session.

The training came just 24 hours after touching down in Brazil. The team made their way to the Estadio Rei Pele for the workout which witnessed some rains.

The first session traveled a little over an hour.

Striker Majeed Waris, who is recuperating from a thigh injury did not train.

Also missing the first session was Kevin-Prince Boateng as the rest of the team were put through their paces.

Kwesi Appiah's side are readying themselves for their opening game in Group G against the US on Monday in Natal.
