Ghana lost narrowly to South Korea in a friendly match at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Tuesday. The lone goal was scored by Lee Tae-Seok in the 63rd minute, assisted by Paris Saint-Germain's Lee Kang-In.
Coach Otto Addo fielded a youthful side, with Benjamin Asare making a return to the post, having missed the Kirin Challenge Cup against Japan on Friday. The Black Stars had Prince Kwabena Adu scoring an excellent goal, but it was ruled out for offside.
The team's performance was epic, with Alidu Seidu, Christopher Bonsu Baah, and Kamal Deen Sulemana doing an excellent job in the match.
Kwasi Sibo put up a masterful showing with a high-level performance, while Prince Kwabena Adu led the lines with energy.
Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Kojo Peprah Oppong, and Jonas Adjetey started in defense, while Caleb Yirenkyi moved to midfield to partner Kwasi Sibo and Prince Owusu.
Brandon Thomas-Asante and Prince Osei Owusu came on for Prince Owusu and Prince Adu Kwabena as Ghana chased after the equalizer, but it was the South Koreans who held on to win the contest.
The Black Stars will aim to regroup in March next year for more international friendly matches in readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America.
