Ghana still in top 20 in Fifa rankings

Ghana still remains in the top 20 of the November edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.

The Black Stars are still placed 17th despite bagging 12 more points to increase their points total to 903.

The quarter-finalists at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa broke into the top 20 last month.

Africa still has only three sides - Egypt, Ghana and Ivory Coast - making it into the top 20.

Ghana are still Africa's second best side behind Egypt. Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Algeria and Gabon trail the Black Stars in that order on the continental ranking table.

World champions, Spain still leads the the overall standing followed by the Netherlands and Brazil in third position.

FIFA says 34 new 'A' international matches were factored into the current edition of the world ranking, bringing the total number of matches taken into account this year to 673.
