Ghana picked up their first point at the World Cup and got themselves back in contention of qualifying to the next round of the World Cup after drawing 2-2 with Germany on Saturday in Fortaleza.

It was a game that had everything and the lots of captivating moments as the second half produced all four goals.

The Black Stars now have a fair chance of reaching the Round of 16 for the third-straight time with a game against Portugal to come next week.

Andre Ayew, struck his second goal of the tournament when he equalised in the 54th minute through a header past Manuel Neuer to cancel Mario Goetze's opener three minutes before.

Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan, who became the most-capped Ghana player at the World Cup, earning his tenth cap then put his team in front in the 63rd minute for the first time.

Gyan's was fed with a ball from midfield and sped past his marker before angling a shot into the net to earn his fifth goal at the World Cup after making his debut in 2006.

He now becomes the first African to score in three-straight World Cups.

However, eight minutes later, substitute Miroslav Klose turned in a header from close range after a corner had been directed to the far post.

A point earned will come in handy as Kwesi Appiah's side now turn their focus towards their final group game on Thursday at the Estadio Nacional in Brasilia.
