Ghana would be playing host nation Togo in the first semi-finals match on Tuesday at the Kegue stadium after the Black Starlets settled for second place in Group B.

Ghana lost to Nigeria 2-0 in the final group game in Kegue Saturday afternoon.

The Nigerians scored a goal apiece in each half to go top of the group undefeated though both countries secure places in the semi-finals.

With five minutes to end the first half, Rafeal Ademola took advantage of a defensive lapse to score from the rebound after Ghana goalkeeper, Abraham Hoenyedzi had parried header that was heading to goal back into play. The Nigerians ended the half 1-0 on top.

And back from recess, the Black Starlets pushed for the equaliser but the Nigerians played it rather safe resorting to the long balls to ward off the Ghanaian attacks.

As the minutes ticked, Ghana threw more men forward as the Nigerians caught the Black Starlets on the break and managed to double their lead.

A shot at goal was again parried high up by Abraham Hoenyedzi but Akinsola Kabiru lurking around the far end of goal pushed the ball in to put the game beyond Ghana.

Nigeria, table toppers in the group would meet Tunisia, who came second in Group A.

Meanwhile, all four semi-finalist have secured qualification for the FIFA U-17 World Cup this August to be hosted by South Korea.
