Ghana will be making another appearance at the finals African Nations Championship – CHAN with Sudan hosting the second edition of the competition next year.

The Black Stars managed to qualify for next year's Championship after beating Burkina Faso 1-0 on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra to round up the two-leg tie.

A first half strike by Bismark Idan sealed Ghana's place in the finals in a rather difficult game for the Black Stars as the Stallions always posed a threat via the away goal rule.

This also ensured a 1-0 aggregate victory for the Black Stars.

The Kessben FC striker pounced onto the ball, took a couple of touches and having reached the area of the Burkinabes, he slotted the past the advancing goalkeeper who had closed the angle on 38 minutes.

Ghana missed a couple of chances but Idan's strike proved the decisive goal.

Both sides drew goalless from the first leg in Ouagadougou but Ghana settled the tie to reach the the competition, designed by CAF for only home-based players of its member countries.
