Liberty vs Medeama

After bagging a point at the Berekum Golden city Park over the weekend, Liberty Professionals will be looking forward to keeping it clean at home  against Medeama SC on match 3.

Medeama deepened the woes of Hearts of Oak on match day 2 with a 3:0 drubbing of the Phobians and they are looking to keep the momentum.  Winning at home brings Liberty Professionals to 5points on the league log after drawing in the first two games. Can the returnee and ree kick expert Kwesi Donsu lead Medeama to their third successive win in the league against an improving Liberty side at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf park on Saturday

This match features an unbeaten side sitting at their comfort zone patiently waiting like a lion ready to pounce on its prey. Aduana Stars’ defence, coupled with their goalkeeping look compact.  Besides, teams do not normally survive the venom of the “fire boys” at the  Nana Agyemang Badu I Park. Will winless King Faisal FC  rewrite the story and be an exception? King Faisal slipped at home to Ashgold SC and are wallowing at the bottom on the league table with no sign of rescue. But in their minds, they will be  hoping to turn things around in Dormaa. Venturing into this game with hopes of acquiring at least a point is a dare to dream.

Kotoko return to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to face Berekum Chelsea after their vital away points from Legon Cities in a much publicized game which saw social media buzzing. Chelsea on the other hand had a frustrating draw at home with Liberty Professionals heading into this game. This particular fixture seems like a  midfield battle as encounters between both sides at the Baba Yara stadium has always been dicey in recent times. Let’s see how speedster Emmanuel Gyamfi comes up against his former teammate and goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.

Timing looks arguably a brutal one for Techiman Eleven Wonder who have no points as they travel to face the miners in Obuasi on match day 3. Ashgold SC have had solid start to their two season openers, winning  at home and securing an away victory. A free- scoring team it seems, with lateral defender Yusif Mubarik  having the best of games so far, bagging in a goal in each game. It will be interesting to see how Coach Ignatius Fosu come up with a plan to s tactical mo to dismantle Ashgold’s build up?

Bechem United vs Olympics

Olympics’ return to the top flight has been a difficult one so far, with two defeats in their first two matches. And they travel  away to face Bechem United who have enjoyed a win and a loss from their first two games. Both teams look almost at par in strength and will serve fans with good soccer on the day. On paper, Accra Great Olympics posses a forward line in the likes of Gladson Awako and Emmanuel Clottey who can trouble Bechem United on a good day. But Bechem are at home and playing at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park is always  comfortable  for them.

Dreams FC vrs Legon Cities

Dreams FC only have to keep the pace by churning out a balance performance  while serving fans with the best soccer action.

Legon Cities FC have, through their first two games, proven to only have their wherewithal in first half of their games. Can Coach Goran Barjaktarevic find the antidote to his side's dismal second half performance? A trip to the mountains to face the in-form Dreams is a tough one.

Elmjna Sharks vs WAFA

Elmina Sharks have started slow and are yet to record their first win of the season;  something they will be looking forward to against West AFrica Football Academy (WAFA) who shocked Karela away on the opening day of the season.  The Benjamin Tweneboah factor could be a major boost for  Elmina Sharks while youngster Daniel Owusu of WAFA also goes in search of his second goal of the season.

Karela vs Inter Allies

Losing at home and picking a vital point away means much work must be done by Karela United in keeping hopes alive in the league. A win from  last weekend, after their heavy defeat to Aduana on the opening day,  rekindles hope for Inter Allies heading into this game. Either side will need a win to enhance their chances of being well placed on the league table. With  in-form Victorien Adebayor leading the attack, can Inter Allies snatch victory from the Akoon Park or Karela United are ready to show the “Eleven is to one” boys that their season is back on track after the shock defeat at home.

Hearts vs Dwarfs

Maybe it is a bit too early to be writing Accra Hearts of Oak off  after starting the league on a wrong note. Although two losses from their first two games have lowered expectations of fans,  the “Phobians” will be aiming to get the better part of them back working hard to retain all 3 points this weekend when they face Ebusua Dwarfs.

It hasn’t quite clicked for Ebusua Dwarfs either in two games but their performances in both games haven’t  been extremely bad. The forward line of both teams will be creating a plethora of chances and any side that utilizes them could carry the day.
