Goran Stevanovic has seen some of his called up players pull out of tonight's game with Nigeria but the relaxed coach was full of desire, stressing the importance of winning ahead of the game.

The Black Stars coach has been forced to hand late call ups Stromgodst midfielder, Mohammed Abu, who is loan from Manchester City and former youth international, Ibrahim Atiku.

Stevanovic would be without captain John Mensah, Anthony Annan, Daniel Opare, Kwadwo Asamoah and Rabiu Mohammed for the game.

Despite the loss of such regulars, Stevanovic is backing his players to rise to the occassion and give off their best.

“There is the pressure to field a good team always. Every game is important.

“Nigeria is very important. Players must understand that they must not lose any game,” the Ghana coach said.

“The result is always important and it’s important to improve and see more players.”

The two sides meet at the Vicarage Road Stadium with Nigeria determined to halt Ghana’s winning run against them.

The last friendly game between both sides saw Ghana thump the Super Eagles 4-1 back in 2007.
