Ghana and Nigeria settled for a goalless drawn game in the first leg game of the final qualifier for the All-African Games played at the Coronation park in Sunyani.

With the first leg tie over, the winner of the second leg clash in Abuja would secure the single qualification slot from Zone III for next year’s All-African Games football competition.

Ghana failed to plant the ball at the back of the net after creating lots of goalscoring chances.

The Black Meteors lifted their game in the second half with a couple of substitutions but could secure the opener.

Both countries would rekindle their rivalry on March 11 when the Nigeria's host the return encounter.

However, Ghana coach Cecil Jones Attuquayefio though ruing his team's lack of goals still believes the game is even.

"It's still even. We created lots of chances by unfortunately, we couldn't score.

"We would have to keep on fighting and in Abuja, the game would be decided. We controlled the game and somehow I am happy with that but we failed to score.

"It's not over yet," Jones said in a post match interview.

Ghana would seeking to secure a second successive appearance at the All-African Games after winning bronze in the last competition.
