Ghana has lost the first leg fixture of the African Junior Championship qualifier to the Ivory Coast.

The Black Starlets playing away went down 3-1 in the final eliminator of the qualifying campaign.

Ghana would host the Ivorians in the return leg next month.

The game comes up at the Sunyani Coronation park on the weekend on December 8-10.

The winner of the two-leg tie qualifies for next year’s African Junior Championship to be hosted by Togo.

Ghana got to this stage after edging out Guinea on a 4-2 goal aggregate.

Togo, qualify automatically for the finals as hosts.
