The Black Queens will play the opening game of next month's African Women's Championship against Algeria.

Ghana were drawn in Group B and will also play against defending champions Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon following Tuesday's official draw in South Africa.

The Black Queens' second group game would be against Cameroon ahead of the final clash in Group B with Equatorial Guinea.

Hosts South Africa are in Group A where they have to battle former champions Nigeria, Tanzania and Mali for the tournament which takes place from 29 October to 14 November, with the champions and runners-up representing the continent at the FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany next year.

Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa have all participated in every single edition since 1998.

However, the Black Queens, losing finalists on three occasions would be attempting a first title success.
