Ghana will face Cote D'Ivoire in the opening match of the 2016 CHAN qualifiers.
This was announced after a draw which was conducted at the CAF headquarters in Cairo on Sunday.
The Homebased Black Stars will host their Ivorian counterparts in the first leg match between 16, 17, 18 October before going away for the second leg between 23, 24, 25.
Coach Maxwell Konadu's side are gearing up for the qualifiers and will step up preparations when they participate in the COSAFA Cup tournament in South Africa as guests.
Ghana placed second at the 2014 edition of the CHAN tournament after losing on penalties to Lybia in South Africa.
