Ahead of the draw, CAF will announce the make up of its pot system, which gives an early indication of the possible road ahead.

“We’re all anxious to see what group we are drawn in but for us we’re looking forward to whatever challenge the draw throws up and we will tackle it with the spirit that Ghanaians have always been renowned for,” Konadu told Ghanafa.org

While the draw signifies an exciting sector in the road to the AFCON it also signals a step up in the Black Stars preparations for next month's tournament.

“As we are keen on knowing our opponents, the draw also allows us to really start preparations to make sure we are ready for whatever comes our way when the tournament starts," Konadu said.

“Monitoring Black Stars players in action for their clubs, logistics, hotels, flights and warm up games as well as scouting opposition are part of the meticulous planning we will be putting in place to make sure we do our best to start the tournament on the front foot.”

Nyantakyi will also attend CAF Executive Committee as well as the Africa Cup of Nations Organising Committee meetings.
