Ghana secured a 2-0 win over hosts Benin in the reverse fixture in the ongoing WAFU B Girls Cup. The win gives Ghana the double over their host after winning 2-0 in the opening game.

Sarah Nyarko gave Ghana an early lead in the 14th minute after a goalmouth scramble. The hosts threatened Ghana on several occasions, but Aishetu made key saves to deny them.

Ghana held on to go into the break with a one-goal advantage. After the recess, the hosts looked dangerous upfront, finding the back of the net but were ruled offside. Ghana had to dig deep, putting up endless blocks to deny the hosts, who took the game to the Princesses.

Linda Owusu Ansah dribbled past the keeper to find the net, but it was ruled for a foul. Near the end of injury time, Latifa Musah scored at 92 minutes, moments from the final whistle, to end the game 2-0 in Ghana's favour. Ghana will play their last game against Nigeria on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025, at 9:00 GMT.
