Ghana confirm Reggae Boyz date

Claude Le Roy would hit the road again as Ghana closes in on her final preparation for next year’s African Cup of Nations with a friendly against Jamaica.

The Black Stars would take on the Reggae Boyz on October 14 in London at the Brisbane Road, the home of English side, Leyton Orient.

The weekend encounter would the third international friendly between both nations as Ghana have already gone unbeaten in two previous encounters with the team from Jamaica.

Ghana first handed a the Reggae Boyz a 2-1 win at the Accra Sports Stadium in 1999 and again secured the double last year prior to the World Cup when the Black Stars routed them 4-1 at the Walkers` Stadium in Leicester, UK.

Next month’s game against Jamaica forms part of the team’s preparations ahead of the African Cup of Nations, which Ghana would be hosting in four major cities.

Ghana, four-time champions by virtue of being host of the competition gain an automatic qualification slot for the 16-nation tournament.
