Ghana’s second Group F match in the ongoing 2019 AFCON against  Cameroon has ended in stalemate.

The Black Stars have two points from their two opening group matches against Benin on Tuesday and the Indomitable Lions on Saturday.

Coach Kwesi Appiah’s side were unlucky in Saturday’s game as substitute Kwabena Owusu came so close to win it for Ghana only to be denied by the crossbar.

Ghana started the game as the better side with few  chances as Kasim Nuhu saw his follow up to a corner kick go over the post.

Christian Atsu’s long range shot also went wide with the winger going off after suffering an injury in the process.

Goalkeeper Richard Ofori  was called to duty on the 41st minute as he pulled a fantastic save to keep the scores barren at half time.

The Black Stars came into the second half strongly as Andy Yiadom’s low shot was not enough to beat Onana in post for the Cameroonians.

Coach Kwesi Appiah brought on Asamoah Gyan and Kwabena Owusu later in the game with the U-23 forward almost getting a win for Ghana after latching into a poor pass only for his shot to hit the top of the goal post.

Ghana will have to win against Guinea Bissau in the final group match in Suez on Tuesday to make it into the next round of the competition.
