Ghana has qualified for next year's African Cup of Nations in Gabon after beating Mauritius 2:0 in Mauritius.

Two second half goals by captain Andre Ayew and Christian Atsu sealed qualification in a match which the Black Stars needed a point to ensure qualification to next years' showpiece.

Ghana has now opened an unassailable seven-point lead in the group, meaning the Black Stars will finish as group winners regardless of the outcome of the last group match with Rwanda in September.

The Black Stars will be making a seventh successive appearance at the Afcon since the 2006 edition in Egypt.
