Ghana's first game of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying would be against Lesotho or Burundi, when the second round groups kick off.

The Black Stars would host the game on June 1, 2012 before flying away to Zambia to clash with the Chipolopolo seven days later and wrap up the first round of the group fixtures against Sudan.

Either Lesotho or Burundi, after a two-leg play-off will join Group D which also includes Sudan.

The Black Stars, seeded, who enjoyed a memorable last eight place at last year's World Cup after a debut round of 16 finish in 2006 would be attempting a third consecutive appearance when the begin the campaign in the second qualifying round.

The five third-round ties that will decide who picks one of the five qualifying berths to Rio are scheduled for October and November 2013.

In the qualifying process, 203 countries will be part of the 824 qualifiers for the right to claim one of 32 berths at the 2014 World Cup finals.

Brazil will host the competition from 12 June - 13 July 2014.

Group D: Ghana, Zambia, Sudan, Lesotho or Burundi,
