Ghana and Congo to open African Games Men's football event on March 9

Ghana are set for the 13th edition of the African Games slated for Accra from Friday, March 8 - Saturday, March 23, 2024.

The continental multi-sport event held every four-years, will be played at the Games village in Borteyman, the Accra Sports stadium, the University of Ghana stadium and the Cape Coast Sports stadium.  The Black Satellites will represent Ghana in the Men's Football competition, while the Black Princesses compete in the Women's Football event.

The Black Satellites are in Group A alongside Congo, The Gambia and Benin in the Men's Football event. Coach Desmond Ofei's team will open their campaign against Congo at the Accra Sports stadium on Saturday, March 9 before facing The Gambia (Tuesday, March 12) and Benin (Saturday, March 16) in the other Group matches.
