The Ashanti Regional Football Association (RFA) has presented educational support to two promising Catch Them Young Referees, Samuel Akwasi Owusu and Philip Abalo, as part of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) commitment to promoting education among young match officials.
The support forms part of the GFA Educational Support initiative, which seeks to assist Catch Them Young Referees across all regions of Ghana to pursue their academic ambitions while developing their officiating careers.
The initiative underscores the GFA’s commitment to the holistic development of young referees by providing assistance that enables them to balance their education with their responsibilities on the field of play.
Samuel Akwasi Owusu and Philip Abalo, who were accompanied by their mothers, each received financial assistance to support their educational needs.
The Ashanti RFA commended the GFA for introducing the initiative, describing it as an important intervention in supporting the academic and professional development of young referees.
The association also congratulated Samuel and Philip on being selected as beneficiaries and wished them success in their academic pursuits and refereeing careers.
