The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the start date for the 2026/27 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League (WPL).
The new season is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of October 23–26, 2026, with matches taking place simultaneously across the Northern and Southern Zones.
The campaign will run through to the weekend of April 30–May 3, 2027, promising months of competitive and high-quality football.
The league will feature 20 elite clubs, evenly divided into two zones of 10 teams each, maintaining the structure that has fostered intense rivalries and regional competition in recent seasons.
Backed by headline sponsor Malta Guinness and key partners such as Nasco Electronics, the Women’s Premier League continues to grow in stature and visibility.
The upcoming season is expected to showcase exceptional talent, thrilling encounters and the continued rise of women’s football in Ghana.
