The Ghana Football Association and the Premier League Board (PLB) have wished Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak well in their CAF Club Competition matches this weekend.

The two clubs are representing Ghana in the CAF Champions League and the Confederation Cup competitions respectively.

After a goalless draw in Algeria two weeks ago, Kotoko will need a win against El Eulma at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday while Hearts of Oak will have to safeguard their 2-1 advantage over Olympique de Ngog when they travel to Senegal for the second leg match.

A GFA/PLB letter sent to the two clubs ahead of their matches this weekend stated that:

"The Ghana Football Association and the Premier League Board are very much delighted with your performance in the CAF Inter-Clubs Competition so far. The GFA/PLB have absolute confidence in you to qualify over your opponents in your respective 2nd Leg matches this week-end.

The GFA/PLB wishes to reiterate its support and that of the football fraternity of Ghana, especially the Premier League Clubs, for both of you and believe you both will surmount your various hurdles in the easiest way without being complacent.

We are further convinced you would be guided by your rich experience in Africa and the massive support of your teeming supporters to make it to the next stage of your competitions. Whilst wishing you the best of luck in your assignments, the Premier League Board reminds you that the nation expects nothing, but victory from you this weekend. Good luck!”.
