GFA not party to letter sent to FIFA

The Ghana Football Association has explained that its not party to a letter sent to FIFA President Mr. Sepp Blatter – about alleged political interference in Football Administration in Ghana by Mr. Ebo Quansah.

The FA in statement has confirmed receiving a copy of the letter which was discussed by the Executive Committee on 7th October 2010.

The statement also states that the content of the letter should not also be attributed to the GFA, any of its officers or Executives.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) wishes to confirm that it has received a copy of a letter written by Mr. Ebo Quansah dated 26th September, 2010 and addressed to the President of FIFA, Mr. Sepp Blatter – about alleged political interference in Football Administration in Ghana.

The letter was received and brought to the attention of the Executive Committee on 7th October 2010.

The GFA wishes to state that it was not privy to the letter before it was sent to FIFA and has not requested Mr. Ebo Quansah to write the letter on its behalf.

The content of the letter should not also be attributed to the GFA, any of its officers or Executives.

If the GFA or any of its officer feels strongly about any of the issues raised in the letter, it is capable of raising them by itself for the attention of the Government of Ghana, CAF or FIFA.

The GFA will not support any individual to fight any cause it is capable of fighting by itself and in a better position to do so.
