GFA, JAC Motors seal partnership to reward excellence

The Football Association has announced a partnership agreement with global automobile brand JAC Motors, marking another significant milestone in the GFA's drive to strengthen football development through strategic corporate collaborations.

The partnership, officially unveiled on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association in Accra, will see JAC Motors, in collaboration with its authorised Ghanaian distributor, Tryton Motors Ltd, provide support for the Black Stars and domestic football competitions.

The partnership is expected to enhance football development through incentives, logistical support, and brand collaboration aimed at rewarding excellence and deepening support for the game across the country.

Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, GFA Vice-President, Mark Addo, expressed profound excitement over the latest addition to the Football Association’s growing portfolio of sponsors and partners.

He described the partnership as another important milestone in the GFA’s journey and evidence of the increasing confidence corporate institutions continue to place in Ghana football.

“This partnership with JAC Motors represents another significant addition to our expanding family of valued sponsors and strategic partners,” he said.

“We are delighted to welcome JAC Motors into the Ghana football ecosystem at a time when the Football Association continues to pursue meaningful collaborations that support the growth and sustainability of the game at every level.”

The agreement covers the Black Stars, the Ghana Premier League, and the Women’s Premier League, underlining a shared commitment to strengthening both elite and domestic football.

As part of the sponsorship package, JAC Motors will provide luxury vehicle rewards to outstanding performers and champions during the 2026/27 football season, creating a powerful incentive structure to celebrate excellence.

Featured among the vehicle models earmarked for the partnership are the JAC JS2, JAC JS4, and JAC JS6, which will be awarded to deserving winners across various football categories.

Under the arrangement, the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League champions and the 2026/27 Women’s Premier League champions will each receive a brand-new vehicle in recognition of their achievement.

In addition, the Best Player of the Ghana Premier League, Best Player of the Women’s Premier League, and the Coach of the Season in both competitions will receive reward for their exceptional performances in the year under review.

Chief Executive Officer of Tryton Motors Ltd, Jihad Hijazi, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Ghana football, stating that the partnership seeks to enhance the visibility of the sport, inspire national pride, and provide valuable logistical and motivational support for players and clubs.

He expressed confidence that the collaboration would contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of football in Ghana while creating stronger connections between sports, business, and communities.

Among the senior GFA officials in attendance were General Secretary, Prosper Harrison Addo, Executive Council members Samuel Aboabire and Frederick Acheampong, alongside members of the GFA administration. Officials and representatives of JAC Motors and its Ghanaian distributor, Tryton Motors Ltd, were also present.
